About the Project and opportunity:
Acciona Construction Australia have been awarded a contract with the Australian Naval Infrastructure Project in South Australia. This project will involve a number both civil and structural packages.
As such we are seeking to engage a Senior Project Engineer with experience in Civil or Bridge Structures to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major project and play a key part in its successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
- Lead client/contractor meetings especially in the PM's absence
- Identification and assessment of risk to the project as well as implementation of strategies to mitigate risk
- Use your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
- Assist in development and implementation of the master program and maintain mid- long-term look aheads
- Contracts & commercial responsibilities on the project
- Cost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planning
- Lead, develop and manage large project teams on the ground
- Build effective and & collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
- Maintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project
Skills and Experience we are seeking:
- You will have extensive experience on site working on a range of civil packages as those above.
- You will be able to manage, and develop the master program as well as display a high level of competency around contracts, cost forecasting, & management of a large team of engineers
- Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and client representatives
