Programmed Trades team are currently recruiting experienced Fitters work with a range of clients located in Melbourne's North.
Positions are for an immediate start with availability across Day shifts (possibility of other roles being rotating and night shift).
Key Requirements:
- Experience in machinery maintenance and preventative breakdowns
- Respond to breakdown calls in a timely and effective manner
- Experience in problem solving and fault resolution
- Carry out plant and equipment repair, modification, and construction as required.
- Attend breakdowns, identifying root cause and countermeasures to eliminate recurring issues.
- Diagnosis and fault finding of malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment and components
- High level of communication with the production staff, supervisors and management team
- Good communication skills
About you:
- Trades qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
- Experience in a FMCG industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Restricted Electrical Workers Licence (D Licence) is an advantage
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High risk tickets are advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Ability to prioritise responsibilities and take initiative
- Be self-motivated and reliable
- Experience with a maintenance management system & documenting of tasks
