Boral's St Peters Operations are strategically positioned within Sydney's inner southern suburbs to serve the needs of growth and development in the city and eastern suburbs areas. They supply up to 2 million tonnes of aggregate material per year at peak production levels.
We have an exciting, permanent, full-time opportunity for a dedicated Plant Operator to join our high performing and committed team at St Peters Rail Terminal facility. As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our quarry mobile and fixed plant equipment.
Your day will involve
- Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
- Operation of Mobile Plant including articulated dump truck, water cart and front-end loaders
- Operation of computer system/programs
- Basic maintenance and plant housekeeping along with general labouring duties
- Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
What are we looking for?
- Experience in mobile plant operation (loaders, trucks etc.)
- Sales Loader Experience highly regarded, but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision.
- Planning and forecasting capability to plan train orders which match customer demand.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Availability to work a 24/7 roster
