Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services across the Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP.
D4C is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their expanding team to deliver excellence across the Southern Region.
Primary Purpose: To assist in Excavation and Operating of newly constructed watermains, pump stations, refurbished pump stations and large-scale treatment projects. Individual projects range from 6-12 months with ongoing permanent work, as well as operating you will work on the tools, and undertake manual labouring tasks.
Experience working on live sites is essential and attention to detail is critical. To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following:
- Experience within civil utilities space
- Trenching experience
- Shoring Experience
- Backfilling
- Excavator tickets (SOA/VOC)
- Front End loader
- Truck Licence (MR / HR or HC Desirable)
- White card
- Experience in similar role in most of the activities listed above and be able to provide references
- Be physically fit to complete all tasks required
Key Accountabilities:
- The ability and comfort to work outdoors, rain, hail, or shine
- Professional and courteous customer service capabilities to engage with customers on-site
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team, to achieve contract goals and objectives.
- Experience digging around live services, trench work and final trim
- Experience operating 25-40 tonne excavators is desirable
Operating Monday to Friday – 7am start - 40 hours per week, you will also support capital work projects working ad hoc rostered night shifts.
