JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting for a Project Controls Lead to join our Operations APAC (West) business in Perth, Western Australia. on a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. This is a permanent position working closely with the Regional Project Controls Manager for APAC.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Southeast Asia and Kazakhstan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate acts as the focal point for project controls to the project team and client, leads the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of the project controls and shall be responsible for ensuring systems, process, procedures, and standards are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS
Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.Ideally, you will be suitably qualified with ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)
In addition, you will have:
- Incumbents will typically have a minimum 10-year relevant scheduling/planning & cost control experience
- Advanced knowledge of cost control and planning tools/systems and related tools and techniques
- Advanced knowledge of Project Execution Procedures
- Advanced understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
- Advanced ability to develop cost budgets and project schedules and plans
- Excellent understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios
- Advanced understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Strong understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
- Significant prior experience in a senior planning role.
