Macmahon is looking for a proactive People Advisor to join our Surface Mining People Operations team, supporting our Greenbushes Mine Site. Reporting to the People Superintendent, you’ll deliver hands-on generalist HR support, partnering with leaders and employees to improve employee experience and business performance. This role focuses on practical talent management, culture and compliance solutions helping our teams work effectively and grow.

About the role
• Provide accurate advice, coaching and high-level support on all HR/ER related matters
• Manage or support workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes
• Analyse and interpret data and HR metrics to identify workforce trends and understand and respond to workforce needs
• Partner with stakeholders to complete cyclical people activities
• Regular site travel to Greenbushes Mine Site and other projects as required (at least once a fortnight)

About you
• Certificate, Diploma, or bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing employment legislation and HR policies and procedures
• Ability to work independently on an assigned portfolio of work but also as a collaborative team member
• Developed critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Hold a valid C Class Driver’s Licence
• Be able to travel to site on a fortnightly basis and comfortable driving for extended periods of time
• Experience using SuccessFactors (preferred but not essential)
