A developer with over 30 years in the industry is seeking a Site Engineer ready to take on a pivotal role in managing civil, structural, and infrastructure projects. You’ll be the backbone of the construction team, working closely with the Project Manager to lead multiple projects, ensuring the best commercial outcomes and maintaining high standards of workmanship. Your technical expertise, excellent communication, and leadership will shine as you take ownership of engineering duties and guide projects to successful completion.
Objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and government authorities.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Minimize project risks and optimize commercial results for each project.
- Deliver clear, accurate reporting to the PM and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project outcomes, especially on technically challenging builds.
- Maintain rigorous quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure top-tier safety across all projects.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience working on industrial/commercial projects over $20 million.
- Must have industrial experience building sheds/warehouses/units.
- A Civil Engineering degree is preferred.
- Deep understanding of concrete, steel structures, excavation, and civil works.
- Strong experience with civil construction drawings and project management software like MS Project, Procore, AUTOCAD, etc.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractor coordination, QA documentation, and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with the Building Code of Australia, WH&S, and environmental controls.
- Construction White Card and a valid driver’s license.
