About The OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking for a Treasury Manager to join our finance team based in Flinders Street, Adelaide SA, reporting to the Head of Finance.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
The Treasury Manager is responsible for the Treasury operations of the Australian business including cash management, treasury related risk management and compliance & reporting related activities
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and managing the Treasury function, including direct supervision of two team members.
- Ensuring efficient and accurate cash management practices, including analysing working capital needs.
- Providing clear and actionable short-term cash forecasts, accompanied by insightful commentary for senior management.
- Managing day-to-day banking activities, such as executing foreign exchange hedges, intercompany funding, and payment releases.
- Providing expert foreign currency hedging advice to support current and future business operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 and Group policies.
- Negotiating and issuing bank and parent company guarantees.
- Delivering comprehensive month-end reports on treasury activities.
- Assisting the Financial Reporting team with treasury-related sections of Statutory and Management accounts.
- Managing and maintaining strong local banking relationships.
- Ensuring adherence to Group policies, including drafting of local policy documents.
- Serving as the primary contact for all local Treasury matters and coordinating with Head Office (UK) as needed.
About YOU
- Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting, with completion of CA or CPA designation.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in treasury management.
- Demonstrated understanding of global treasury operations and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
- Exceptional accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering collaboration and clear information exchange.
