Role Overview:
In this dynamic role, you will be crucial to our daily operations, supporting our production processes, truck drivers, and machine operators. As a Forklift Operator / Trade Assistant, you will assist in the smooth and safe movement of materials, ensure timely delivery of components to workstations, and contribute to the efficient running of our warehouse. This position is suited for a safety-conscious, reliable, and motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work standard hours, with opportunities for additional hours as our team scales up production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials, steel components, and finished products within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and storage of items.
- Production Assistance: Work alongside machine operators to facilitate efficient production processes, supply materials as needed, and ensure the flow of work between stations.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist truck drivers in the loading and unloading of steel products, ensuring items are secured for transit and meet quality standards.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by regularly inspecting tools, equipment, and materials; promptly report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to protocols.

Required Qualifications:
- Forklift License: Valid forklift operator license with experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- White Card: Construction Induction Training (White Card) is mandatory.
- Driver’s License: Must possess a current driver’s license.
- Work Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
