Bluestone Recruitment is currently partnering exclusively with Quintessential Equity in their search for an Assistant Development Manager to join their Origination team.
The Role
The Assistant Development Manager will assist the Senior Development Manager, Origination in the identification, conversion and delivery of a portfolio of property development projects. This role will be based in Melbourne with a National remit.
You will assist with driving the conversion of development opportunities through to financial close, including assisting with optimising feasibility parameters, appointing and managing the technical consulting team, progressing the concept design and planning permit applications, assisting with the marketing launch and ensuring successful precommitment leasing.
Key to your success will be an ability to work closely with a well-established inhouse design and construction management team to convert projects in a collaborative way. Once projects reach financial close, you will hand over the delivery responsibility to the delivery team, including clarity on the approved project performance metrics.
About You
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have the following skillset & experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, commerce and or finance
- Minimum two years experience in the property industry, ideally in one of Assistant Development Manager / Client Side Project Manager / Property Analyst
- Commercial mindset supported by strong financial acumen
- Strong report writing and literacy skills
- Ideally exposure to commercial office and related markets
- Ability to work in a fast past environment and perform under pressure
- Opportunistic, resilient and adaptive personality
- Logical thinker, demonstrating initiative and strong attention to detail
