Responsibilities include overseeing planned after-hours shutdowns, providing on-call coverage for repairing and maintaining mechanical services, and managing automated systems within the infrastructure. Your role as a Mechanical Services Technician As a Mechanical Services Technician, you will lead the planned maintenance tasks on over 125 tunnel ventilation fans and essential ventilation and control systems. This role involves working closely with the project engineer to identify failures and implement evidence-based solutions for asset maintenance. The successful candidate will join an established team, completing the required work to ensure the continuous operation of this critical infrastructure. This position offers opportunities to gain experience new skills across various disciplines, contributing to the maintenance and operational excellence of the Brisbane Busways. About You • Customer focused team oriented, accountable and results driven. • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands. • Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
