As a result of our growth and new business pipeline, we are currently seeking Site Engineers to join our team.
About The Role
Our Engineering team is responsible for providing engineering and project management expertise in the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting of our projects. Working closely with our construction teams on site, you will:
- Ensure documentation requirements, internal procedures, ITP’s and other requirements applicable to allocated projects, are available for reference and implementation on each site/stage
- Ensure that quality and HSE requirements for each project are documented and are clearly communicated to the responsible Site Supervisor
- Manage contracts and technical engineering specifications for each project
- Manage all stakeholders’ groups including subcontractors, councils and relevant authorities
- Liaise with other business functions, administration and site management to ensure the flow of materials, as required
- Manage project costs and timelines and escalate issues in a timely manner
- Arrange project meetings and ensure project status minutes are completed and distributed
- Investigate any cost, claim and overrun anomalies and address accordingly
- Forecast final costs and provide regular analysis and updates of these forecasts as each job progresses
- Provide regular and ad hoc reports on all engineering and project activities as required by Management
About you
To Be Considered, You Need To Demonstrate The Following
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ engineering experience within the civil construction industry, with residential and subdivision exposure
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Estimate from first principles
- Skilled in all MS Office applications including MS Project and Excel
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to challenge existing practices to identify justifiable improvement opportunities
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written with a demonstrated ability to discuss a wide range of issues to people across all levels of the organisation
- Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
- A positive, proactive, can-do attitude, combined with strong time management and organisation skills
- Self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative
- High personal and professional work standards with sound planning and organisational skills
- OH&S Induction White Card and current Victorian driver’s licence are essential
