Principal Accountabilities
As the HSE Officer for Austchrome, you will have a key role in providing advice and guidance on all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality matters whilst champion change across the aspects of the organisation.
- Develop policies, procedures and practical working practices that empower our people to work in a healthy and safe manner
- Have the courage and conviction to shape a healths and safe workplace through support, guidance and advise on all HSEQ matters.
- Facilitate Workplace Rehabilitation for injured workers in consultation with medical professionals.
- Undertake Risk Management and Auditing.
- Be proactive in implementing health initiatives for all employees
- Maintain documents as set out in the Company Document and Data Management Standard.
- Reporting on safety performance to the wider Sime Darby Industrial Soutions group.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Certificarte IV in OHS or equivalent (essential)
- Experience using SharePoint /Teams, online reporting systems, Rapid Global contractor management systems.
- Previous experience in an Engineeing environment or similar heavy industy.
- Proven background in all aspects of HSEQ, cultural change and engagement
- Qualification in Return to Work and Rehabilitation (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- ISO certification experience
