The Role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a highly energetic and focused Service Delivery Manager to join our Water team located in Melbourne.
As the Service Delivery Manager, you will report directly to the Services Manager and be responsible for the delivery of all operational and maintenance services. This is a strategic role, with the ideal candidate leading a team of planners, supervisors, engineers and significant self delivering trade work force to deliver high quality services, productively, on time and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Implementing significant and complex service improvements across a large geographical footprint
- Development and implementation of processes focused on achieving business-wide improvements to cost and delivery of administrative processes and client/internal services
- Create a culture and a learning environment where employees are proactively encouraged to develop and progress
- Actively develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee the timely resolution of any operational issues
- Manages customer expectations through frequent, accurate and timely updates
- Act and communicate with integrity in all client dealings, ensuring that all promises made can be and are delivered meeting clients expectations
- Ensures the delivery of operational excellence to maximise customer satisfaction and provide an avenue to promote Programmed and opportunities to win additional work.
Skills and experience
- Engineering or Trade qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in setting and delivering on short, mid and long-term strategic objectives
- Change Management and Process improvement experience
- Experience in Leadership capacity - particularly large self-performing teams
- A 'can do' attitude
- Strong written and verbal skills, Demonstrated ability to multi-task through use of multiple systems tools and processes.
- Ability to think laterally, not fall into group think or this can't be done attitudes
