About The OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for an Engineering Delivery Manager to join our Maritime Sustainment based at Garden Island - Sydney, reporting to the Program Engineering Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for the Project Management and will effectively engage stakeholders, lead a project team (may include industry partners) and manage sub-contractors/ consultants to achieve the required customer and company outcomes for straightforward to complex projects through the application of Project Management (PM) disciplines in accordance with the BAE Systems Australia PM framework. In the conduct of assigned duties, the Project Manager must maintain the goodwill of the customer, industry partners, BAE Systems Australia management and provide effective leadership to the project team.
Key responsibilities include:
- The Engineering Delivery Manager is accountable to the Program Engineering Manager for the planning and delivery of straightforward to complex projects
- Implement and follow project management policies and processes in line with BAE Systems Australia's Operational Framework
- Building goodwill and collaboration between the project team and the customer, industry partners and other key stakeholders
- Document and track changes in project parameters, obstacles and delays and implement appropriate mitigations
- Compilation of project deliverables leading to successful project review activity
- Delivery of products and services in accordance with the Product Safety Policy
- Identifying and implementing Value for Money (VFM) initiatives that improve project outcomes for the company and customers
- Managing project resources to meet current and future needs this included Cost Account Management and Project Controls.
- Formal monthly reporting to the Program Manager on project status and any issues
About YOU
- Prior Experience in a similar role is considered desirable
- Prior experience with cost account, project controls and EVM is considered advantageous
- Experience with systems such as Objective, JIRA, MS Office suite is considered desirable
- Must hold defence security clearance or have eligibility to obtain NV1 Security Clearance
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
