Due to business growth, we are currently seeking a Fabrication Supervisor in our Toowoomba Workshop, a full-time permanent role on a 5/2 roster (50hr week).
Duties include
· Overseeing and executing tasks in the workshop
· Delivering to project plans & report on costs and progress
· Overseeing of HSE and Quality in the workshop
· Work to LEAN manufacturing principles and 5’s model
· Mentor tradespersons and apprentices
· Work to continuously improve efficiencies within the business
To be considered for this role, the candidate will need these skills and experience:
· Trade qualification – Boilermaker or similar
· Ability to work in a team environment
· An ability to motivate a team and bring a positive can do attitude
· Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
· Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
· Experience in Structural steel, plate & pipe fabrication.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
· Cert 10 Welding Supervisor or Welding Inspector qualification would be an advantage)
· Positive attitude and self-motivated
· Forklift - highly desirable
