As the Health & Safety Manager, you will report directly to the Project Director and coordinate the implementation of the Safety and H&S Management System throughout the projects. This role will be instrumental in the delivery of a major Waste Water Treatment Plant project. Based in our Parramatta office with site responsibilities at Prospect, NSW, this position is ideal for candidates with robust construction experience.
Key accountabilities for the position:
- Provide strategic direction and required reports for HSEQ across the project
- Coordinate and undertake regular audits and inspections covering management systems, safe work procedures, behavioral safety and preventative measures
- Undertake thorough risk assessments of and assess all tasks and activities
- Provide timely and expert Safety, Quality and Environmental advice and assistance
- Take a lead role in the review and continuous improvement of our safety documentation
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary level or equivalent qualifications in WH&S management
- 7 - 10 years operational experience in the application of safety management principles
- Lead Auditor qualifications in WH&S management systems
- Working knowledge of HS&E and Work Cover requirements and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
- Knowledge of process auditing principles and practices
