We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group General Manager to oversee the strategic leadership, operational efficiency, and overall performance of our client's diverse business units. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead in areas including waste chutes, waste consulting, service and maintenance, equipment sales, and structural steel.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for aligning business strategies, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring financial targets are met across the group. This position requires a focus on innovation, stakeholder engagement, and driving growth in the Australian market.
This role oversees five distinct businesses within the group: waste management, construction solutions, consulting, equipment sales, and structural steel. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving communication across these diverse business units.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to head managers and enhance daily operations
- Swiftly resolve issues to maintain safety, compliance, and profitability
- Create and implement KPI matrices for all units and departments
- Drive strategic growth across multiple business units
- Lead with assertiveness and strong communication skills
- Identify and implement innovative solutions in the waste management industry
- Improve communication and synergy across the five different businesses
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, and construction industries
- Proven ability to drive EBITDA growth and maintain operational efficiency
- Proven experience in managing diverse teams and fostering high performance
- Strong track record in driving financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting
- Experience in leading strategic growth across multiple business units
- Demonstrated ability in talent development and creating leadership pipelines
- Demonstrable process-driven and results-oriented approach
- Strong data-focused decision-making skills
- Expertise in implementing continuous operational improvements
- Skills in identifying and mitigating business risks
- Understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and technical estimating processes
- Experience in enforcing safety regulations and industry compliance
- Track record of building lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Basic understanding of the Construction Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and financial management tools
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management (MBA is a bonus)
- Competitive base salary range of $230,000 to $270,000 AUD
- Performance-based bonus structure tied to revenue growth and maintaining profit margins
