A well-known statutory authority in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer for a temporary position. The organisation focusses on protecting the city’s major water resources.
Your new role
Working with the Regional Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the Senior Construction Engineer. You’ll:
Oversee the construction of assets related to the organisation's drainage and infrastructure, including waterways, retarded basins, and drainage systems
Manager projects such as new housing estates, industrial estates, and preventing flooding in these areas
Liaise with multiple stakeholders such as developers (landowners), civil and environmental consultants, contractors, and landscape contractors
What you'll need to succeed
As well as having a qualification in Environmental Engineering or Civil/Land Development Engineering, you’ll have:
Experience in undertaking and overseeing civil, vegetation and environmental construction work including major assets and capital engineering approvals in the general area of civil engineering (including environmental and geotechnical matters)
Demonstrated the ability to deliver complex projects in a high volume setting and to meet and performance standards and measures within an inclusive culture
Demonstrated understanding and continuous professional development in the land development industry as they relate to floodplain management, waterway management and drainage, waterway health and waterway liveability asset delivery
Demonstrated experience in the application and review of complex civil engineering, vegetation, environmental documentation, tenders in relation to construction, investigation and design engineering and environmental assessment reports
