The Opportunity
We have a wonderful opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Brisbane Team. We are looking for an energetic team player, who is looking for a rare opportunity to work collaboratively with our Principal Civil Engineer to help us build and grow our new civil team, culture and civil discipline capabilities. Some of your role responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical services and support, site investigations, operational requirements, safety reviews, inspections, detailed design and support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Our mining, industrial and renewables clients require support in the following areas: Civil works including bulk earthworks / Roads – haul roads, light vehicle roads, access tracks, public roads / Water supply infrastructure - raw and potable / Surface water management / Non-process infrastructure / Camps / Rail
- Work independently to deliver engineering solutions, as well as enjoy and collaborate successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Successfully deliver our growing portfolio of civil projects, on time and on budget
- Ensure project delivery compliance to current legislative requirements, accepted industry practice and Australian/ technical standards.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute engineering plans
- Monitor project execution, adjusting designs as needed to meet project requirements
- Proposal writing
What you can bring to the team:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer / RPEQ (or the desire and ability to obtain)
- 5+ years’ experience, preferably in Consulting business in the mining and Industrial sectors, specifically across earthworks, roads and drainage design
- Hydrology and water services design would be advantageous
- Proficient with AutoCAD and 12d
- You are self-managed and able to positively impact the team and business
