About the role
As a Farm Hand Operator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Carry out all tasks associated with caring for livestock in and outside of sheds
- Maintain egg records and shed operations
- Maintain accurate records of all plant, equipment and egg collection
- Provide shed operations records and documents as required
- Cull flocks of poultry, assisting with the removal of any waste product
- Safe operation of all machinery, plant and equipment
- Clean and operate farm tools and equipment e.g., egg packers, pressure washer, pallet jacks
- Maintain tidiness and order in the farm workplace
- Placing collected eggs onto cartons and stacking onto pallets
Shift Pattern: 7:30am-3:30pm 3 days on weekdays + weekends (38hrs a week)
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- Attention detail
- Able to work at least every 2nd weekend
- Previous pick packing or process work experience ideal
- Physically fit and able to lift to 20kg
- Thrives in an environment with repetitive work
- Happy to work in small team environment
- Must have own transport – unreachable by public transport
