Role Description
Are you a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate eager to kickstart your career in civil engineering?
Virtual Civil Consulting is looking for a motivated and self-driven Undergraduate/Graduate Engineer to join our team on a full or part -time, remote basis. Based in Brisbane, QLD, this role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with our three experienced directors, providing invaluable mentorship as you begin your career.
As a Graduate Engineer, you'll be actively involved in a variety of tasks that will build your foundational knowledge and skills. These include assisting with quote send-outs, vendor comparisons, estimating, programming, construction methodologies, conducting site visits, bid writing, and contributing to tender proposals for projects across various sectors, including pipeline works, subdivisions, road regrading, mining, and major road infrastructure.
This position is designed to provide a strong start to your career with clear pathways for growth, particularly for those aspiring to become Civil Estimators.
Requirements
- Based in Brisbane, with the ability to meet in person fortnightly
- A dedicated remote working space (a productive environment beyond the kitchen table!)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Highly motivated and keen to learn
Qualifications
- Recent or upcoming completion of a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, eager to learn and collaborate
- Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to tackle challenges head-on
- Proficiency in Excel, word, powerpoint etc
