Description:
A labourer / truck driver at Cole Civil plays a vital role in supporting the construction projects by undertaking various tasks and ensuring the smooth execution of operations. The main responsibilities and tasks for this position include:

Assisting with the preparation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
Operating hand and power tools to assist with various construction tasks, such as digging trenches, breaking up concrete, or assisting with asphalt paving.
Performing routine maintenance on construction equipment and machinery to ensure their proper functioning.
Following safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
Supporting the team in completing construction projects within specified timelines and quality standards.
Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and targets.

A labourer/truck driver is expected to demonstrate strong teamwork skills, physical endurance, attention to detail, and a commitment to following safety procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the success of diverse projects.

Skills and Experiences:
Required Qualifications

Current Victorian Drivers Licence (mandatory)
WorkSafe issued Construction Induction Card (mandatory)
HR – Truck Licence (mandatory)
Traffic Control – Ticket (desirable)

Required skills

Ability to perform manual tasks.
Ability to use civil construction machinery & equipment.
Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment
Basic understanding of construction safety regulations and procedures
Good communication skills to follow instructions effectively
Capability to work in a team environment

Required experiences

Prior experience in construction or related field is preferred but not essential
Familiarity with construction site protocols and practices is a plus
Demonstrated ability to handle basic construction tasks under supervision
Experience with using hand and power tools is advantageous
Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards within the construction industry is beneficial
