A mine situated in North West Queensland is seeking a Process Operator in theCopper Smelter for an immediate vacancy.
Your new role
OurClient is currently seeking process operators to join their crew due to anincrease in demand. This role will be based on a 4/4 (days and nights) rosterand is residential to Mount Isa, please note no flights or accommodation willbe provided.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties andresponsibilities, including:
- Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
- Maintain Plant hygiene and housekeeping around the plant
- Training in area of the plant
- Progressing through to other more challenging tasks within a short timeframe
- Working with the teams to support production targets are safely met.
- Maintaining a high level of safety in the way we work
- Monitoring, reporting and conducting thorough equipment prestart inspections.
- Safe operation of machinery across site and positive communication
What you'll need to succeed
- Valid Manual Driver's Licence
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- Forklift ticket and loader ticket would be ideal but not essential
- Be currently residing in Mount Isa
- Ability to communicate at all levels & basic computer skills
- Flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
- Ability to achieve results within the specified time frames.
- Strong customer focus is required as well as a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work well within a teamenvironment or with minimal supervision
