The Role

The Plant Operator Street Sweeper will assist with all street sweeping maintenance activities ensuring the municipality streets and public areas are well maintained including maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of Council’s facilities, shopping centres, car parks, parks and associated infrastructure. You will also assist with street sweeping maintenance activities ensuring the municipality streets are well maintained.
About you
You will have completed a trade or industry certificate or industry-based training course related to street sweeping/roadside maintenance. You will have proven experience and knowledge in compact street sweeping. You thrive in an environment where you can effectively manage your time, set priorities and plan your own work order to achieve set objectives. You will have the ability to identify and provide recommendations about how to solve on-the-job problems and improvements within the sweeping/drainage team. Strong communication skills will be required when dealing with customers in the field and work place, together with a valid Driver’s Licence with M.R or H.R endorsement, is essential.
