Our M&M APAC team is growing significantly, and we are working with clients internationally on developing advance processing methodologies to reach carbon footprint commitments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Role Based on current and future project opportunities within our Process group and the wider business, we are seeking a Process Consultant with expertise in Hydrometallurgy. This role will see you:
- Manage and execute the delivery of best practice process plant designs and associated services in designated studies, projects and consulting services
- Ensure the team maintains a leading-edge technical capability through the development of designs, industry contacts, new technologies and innovative practices
- Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems for a wide range of commodities
- Provide technical guidance and advice to other functional departments and the wider organisation as required
- Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
- Proactively assist in identifying business opportunities and develop new and existing client relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
About YouIdeally you will be a Principal Process Engineer (or Consultant) with 20+ years industry experience (operations/consulting) with expertise in hydrometallurgy working with lithium, nickel, cobalt zinc etc.
As a proven leader with qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or another related field from a recognised institution, you will have:
- Extensive experience in the Mining and Minerals industry within a projects and engineering environment
- In-depth technical knowledge of process plant and autoclave design and operation
- Extensive experience with metallurgical test work and pilot plant campaigns for pressure hydrometallurgical projects
- Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Experience with process simulation software such as METSIM and/or SysCAD would be highly regarded
