About the Opportunity
**12-Month Contract (Possible 12-Month Extension)**
In this role, you will report to the Backfill / Concentrate Coordinator and work on an 8:6 (days) and 7:7 (nights) roster as part of our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. Your focus will be on producing paste for backfilling stopes in underground mining to support operations, enhance safety, and contribute to sustainable mining practices.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Complying with all site standards and procedures.
- Monitoring paste quality to ensure the product meets design specifications outlined in the stope fill notes.
- Executing plant and laboratory sample preparation and testing, including moisture, slump, pH, rheology, UCS, QA/QC, etc.
- Identifying, correcting, and reporting hazards and issues to the Backfill / Concentrate Coordinator.
- Assisting with breakdowns and other tasks as directed within the processing department.
- Ensuring accurate reporting, including daily logs, shift notes, and handover processes.
About You
Our preferred candidate will have some exposure to working in a paste or mineral processing plant within the mining industry.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Current C Class WA Driver’s Licence (Manual).
- While not essential, previous experience in paste plant operations will help you hit the ground running.
