WMK Constructions seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team as a Qualified Carpenter, specialising in all aspects of carpentry.

Responsibilities:

Execute house framing tasks according to project requirements, ensuring compliance with AS 1684.4 framing codes and regulations.
Read and interpret construction plans and engineering
Build stick frames, including walls, floors, roof trusses, cladding, lockup, fix, fitoff, decks, pergolas and occasional concreting
Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate work
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines and protocols
Supervise and manage a crew, if necessary, providing guidance and instruction to ensure the completion of tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude and proactive approach, actively seeking solutions to challenges that may arise during the framing process.
Consistently meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality workmanship, displaying a keen eye for detail.
Arrive on time for work and maintain a strong work ethic, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a carpenter, in all aspects
In-depth knowledge of AS 1684.4 framing codes and regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and engineering
Strong carpentry skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Leadership skills and the ability to manage and supervise a crew if required.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong efficient work ethic and a positive can-do attitude.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
