AJ JOINERY (SA) PTY LTD was established in 2023 and is located in Adelaide, South Australia. We specialize in the supply and installation of high-quality residential cabinetry, as well as other wooden products such as door frames, window frames, and bookshelves. Our mission is to provide custom solutions that create ideal living spaces for our clients. We are currently seeking a full-time joiner primarily responsible for cabinet making and other woodwork. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience and be familiar with relevant techniques and tools. Responsibilities:

1. Analyze construction drawings and specifications to identify required materials and dimensions for various wooden products making, such as cabinet, door frames, window frames, bookshelves and so on.

2. Determine and apply appropriate fabrication and installation methods to ensure timely project completion while adhering to design specifications.

3. Identify and follow the occupational health and safety procedures required for various tasks, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely.

4. Proficiently operate hand and power tools such as chisels, hand saws, circular saws, and electric sanders to achieve efficient production and high-quality surface finishes, ensuring products meet Australian industry standards.

5. Create and cut various wood joints, including mortise and tenon joints, to ensure secure and durable connections between components, enhancing overall structural stability.

6. Precisely cut timber and shape it using both hand and power tools to ensure each component meets design specifications.

7. Prepare wood surfaces for subsequent painting or other finishing processes to enhance the appearance of the final product.

8. Assemble cut and shaped timber components into various wooden products, ensuring stability, accurate positioning, and alignment with the overall design.

9. Maintain and repair existing wooden products to ensure they function properly while preserving their appearance and extending their lifespan.

10. Maintain effective communication with clients and team members, promptly discussing requirements and progress to ensure the finished product is completed within the specified timeframe and meets client expectations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following experience:

1. Hold relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Joinery.

2. At least five years of experience as a joiner.

3. Candidate with Australian relevant work experience is preferred.

4. Experience in cabinet making is preferred.

5. Proficiency in English is required.

6. Flexible working on modified schedules and alternative hours.

7. Preference for bilingual candidates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
