Berry Sweet was established in the early 1990’s by Anthony & Lee-Anne Yewers. Starting off as a strawberry farm in Bullsbrook, north of Perth, supplying the local market in Western Australia, we now grow Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries & Blueberries in three locations supplying Australia’s major supermarkets.

We are searching for a full time Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at our Bullsbrook site.

About the position - duties include but are not limited to:

Operating farm machinery, vehicles & plant equipment including but not limited to:

Tow behind Sprayer

Tractors

Tractors pulling implements

Tractors towing Trailers or Tippers

Forklifts

Manipulating controls to operate attachment mechanically, hydraulically and electronically, and to move materials
Monitoring operating of mobile plant machine directly and by referring to instruments
Monitoring condition of machines, performing minor repairs and reporting mechanical faults
Employing tractor-drawn and self-propelled machinery for tasks including ploughing fields, seeking, fertilising, soil cultivation, and crop harvesting, with a focus on avoiding crop damage
Preparing machinery for operation
Or undertakes mechanical prestart and general maintenance
Record keeping
Associated labouring tasks
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications & experience

at least 1 year relevant experience
Forklift Licence
Telehandler Licence
Tractor driving experience
ChemCert Certificate
Record planting, yield and production data
Utilise software for production records

Remuneration

$66,000 per annum + Superannuation
