Event Hire Serviceshas an exciting opportunity for a Joiner to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in our workshop in Brookvale, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures for our events. This includes furniture, staging, bars, and other custom pieces required for our diverse range of events.

About the Role

The Joiner will be responsible for the following duties:

· Prepare timber and organise all components to manufacture quality products to client specifications.

· Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

· Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials to create furniture and custom pieces according to specifications.

· Assemble and fasten materials using various joining techniques to make frameworks and props.

· Ensure all work meets the required safety standards and building codes.

· Collaborate with Design Team to complete projects on time.

Skills & Experience – Who we’re looking for:

For this position, it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:

· Minimum Certificate III in Joinery OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of qualifications.

· Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Joiner in a similar role.

· Proficient in using manual equipment including Hand & Power tools.

· Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

· Excellent understanding of safety rules and regulations.

· High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
