ABOUT GEMCO
Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world’s manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns. Residential option to live on Groote Eylandt considered.
As the Mine Monitoring & Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for enhancing operational performance through effective leadership, equipment management and risk mitigation strategies.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Oversee the allocation of mining equipment to optimise production and performance
- Monitor equipment health to ensure asset reliability and effective planning processes
- Maintain data integrity in line with the Time Usage Model (TUM)
- Implement risk management strategies and conduct performance analysis
- Provide coaching and support for defect elimination and safe work execution
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Extensive experience with Fleet Management and Asset Health platforms
- Supervisory experience with Mine Controllers and/or Production Mining crews (preferred)
- Background in continuous improvement projects and initiatives
- Proficient in software such as Modular Dispatch, Provision, CatHealth, MineCare, Microsoft Office, and/or SAP
- Working knowledge in reporting software such as MinVu and PowerBI
Qualifications for this position are:
- Level 3 Modular Dispatch
- Mining Supervisor competency G1, G8, G9 (or willing to obtain)
- G2 Risk Management (highly desirable)
- Current manual drivers’ licence
