We’re changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change? The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s Northwest Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes: • 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden • 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry • 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa • up to six new substation sites. Townsville based applicants would be highly considered. The Role As Senior Contracts Administrator, you’ll effectively manage the administration of all subcontractor and supplier contracts within prescribed cost limits. Key Responsibilities: - Effectively managing the administration of all subcontract and supplier contracts. - Managing the financial administration for the project. - Assisting the Project Manager and Commercial Manager in the preparation and review of the project monthly report including providing workings completed, program and cost data. - Developing and managing own work schedule to deliver required outputs to expected quality and within timeframes. - Draft contractual correspondence for approval - Prepare tender packages and contractual documents - Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers - Develop and maintain systems and procedures which ensure financial, commercial and contractual performance - Liaise with internal functional support teams, client representatives, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure information flows freely and relationships are sound. Experience and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Economics/Law/Business. - Ability to build rapport and manage relationships. - The ability to work in as part of a team. - Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements involved in specific contracts. - Attention to detail and ability to notice errors. - Working knowledge of accounting principles.
