BE Switchcraft Pty Ltd is a custom switchboard manufacturer with over 50 years history within the electrical and sheet metal industries in SA.
The company seeks an experienced Estimating Manager for an immediate start to support & oversee the estimating team at its Royal Park facility.
As the Estimator Manager will be a senior staff member, it is imperative that applicants can demonstrate strong experience across the electrical switchboard field, including conceptional design, tender preparation and relationship building.
Duties will include;
- Managing a small team of estimators.
- Existing and new customer relationship management.
- Interpreting and analysing consultant drawings, including SLD and specifications.
- Ensuring that all quotes are compliant to the switchboard standard and the national wiring rules.
- Creating conceptual construction sketches for use in estimating purposes.
- Creating detailed quotes for switchboard tenders.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers in order to provide best fit products to our customers.
- Working with the management team in order to meet budgets and project deadlines.
- Maintaining & updating pricing databases.
Relevant skills would include;
- Trade or Tertiary qualification essential.
- The ability to interpret the current switchboards standard AS/NZS 61439 and AS3000.
- Great attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Organised and able to work autonomously.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Experience using Espro or Simpro system would be valuable but not critical.
- Experience in using Autocad would be valuable but not critical.
A permanent full-time role is available to the right candidate following a successful trial period, along with a competitive remuneration package based on experience.
