What You'll DoIn the role of Security Duty Officer, your duties will include:
Supports a mission critical assignment responsible for the facilities operation and maintenance services to include construction, power generation, warehousing, medical support, temporary quarters, transportation systems, environmental health and safety, security, information technology, and housing, as well as all aspects of maintaining and repairing the site and its ancillary buildings.
Provides 24x7 personnel access control to ensure classified information and sensitive materials are properly secured and safeguarded for all classified areas.
Performs management and supervisory responsibilities as the shift supervisor or senior SDO, for that shift, and performs informal security-related activities as directed by the Security Government Point of Contact (GPOC).
Provides 24-hour monitoring and response to facility fire alarms and other emergency indicators (e.g., Lock-down alarm).
Performs all repair, maintenance, and combination changes on all safes and vault locks.
Operates the United States Government (USG)-provided paging and radio network.
Scans all submitted computer software for viruses.
Manages/maintains keys and combination control and provides roving patrols.
Assists and is on recall for Emergency Response, as directed; serves as the first responder and facility focal point for all medical emergencies inside and outside of classified areas at the site; and provides incident and daily reporting as required
Requirements:
Must be a US or Australian citizen
Must have a US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance
Must have a minimum of five years of experience in the field of industrial and facility security
Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with network setup and management.
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
