Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to drive new business growth in Maersk’s business across the Retail, Lifestyle and FMCG verticals. The Integrated Sales Manager will ensure the accomplishment of the sales targets and drive the product sales expertise to optimize team results. The role will be accountable for sales strategy, sales processes and achieving sales revenue targets across all sales channels and will be responsible for business development strategy & planning which includes, identifying, evaluating and negotiating new sales and market growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Delivery as per Area Budget and Team Engagement
- Deliver the sales budget of direct report roll up
- Drive culture and initiatives to increase engagement among Melbourne team members
- Manage and grow 1-2 major accounts directly in a Key Account Manager scope
- Manage cadence of meetings and coaching conversations with direct reports
- Act as 2IC to Head of Verticals
- Support team members in local customer engagement and relationship management
- Drive best-in-class pipeline hygiene and sales call governance with direct reports
Customer Satisfaction and Stakeholder Engagement
- Actively monitor local NPS with the vertical/segment and drive local improvement to improve customer satisfaction and drive overall continuous improvement opportunities
- Actively provide feedback to the sales channel or vertical lead based on customer feedback and insights
- Closely collaborate with internal teams across the area/region to develop product knowledge and enhance sales skills
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years in a customer facing sales role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Proven success in developing and winning new customer business through both personal and collaborative team selling efforts
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Strong presence and ability to communicate and engage with key stakeholders across multiple levels of customer organization
- Able to achieve results through result-oriented strategy driven by teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to build strategic and consultative partnerships with customers while maintaining a strong sense of empathy
- Excellent influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills
