The Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Carpenter to lead all carpentry work across a range of residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time, hands-on role, where you’ll be responsible for completing technical carpentry projects and repairs. Key Responsibilities:
● Responsible for both interior and exterior maintenance, ensuring high-quality workmanship across residential and commercial properties.
● Build and construct various elements from foundation to finish, including wall frames, roof systems, floor installations, exterior siding, decking structures, and custom cabinetry.
● Handle diverse construction materials including timber, engineered wood products, drywall, and concrete forms while maintaining expertise in door hardware, window systems, and structural components.
● Create and install custom woodwork and fixtures with meticulous attention to detail, including built-in storage solutions, trim work, and specialty architectural elements.
● Execute comprehensive repair services including:
o Door and window system repairs and replacements
o Cabinet and drawer mechanism restoration
o Flooring repairs including hardwood, subfloor, and baseboards
o Deck maintenance and structural reinforcement
o Siding, soffit, and fascia repairs
o Fencing system repairs and installations
● Apply technical woodworking expertise in joinery techniques, alignment verification, and finishing methods while ensuring proper material selection for each project.
● Provide detailed and accurate quotes for carpentry work, including material costs, labour estimates, and project timelines.
● Oversee a team of maintenance technicians and trades, ensuring timely project completion and quality control across all carpentry tasks.
● Perform hands-on carpentry tasks including custom shelving, door installations, repairs, and general maintenance.
● Collaborate with clients, property managers, and the office team to meet project specifications.
● Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper documentation and work site safety protocols.
● Problem-solve any complex structural and finish carpentry issues that arise on-site while maintaining professional client and team relations
● Manage inventory of materials and tools while coordinating with suppliers for efficient carpentry project execution
What We’re Looking For:
● AQF Certificate IV (or equivalent) + 2 years work experience including leadership of supervisory experience OR Fully qualified carpenter with:
o At least 5 years of experience in lieu of qualifications
o Including leadership or supervisory experience
● Proven experience in delivering carpentry projects.
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
● Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
● Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
