About the Role
As the Category Manager, you will take ownership of the Traffic category, driving strategic growth, managing supplier relationships, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for traffic-related products to achieve category and company objectives.
- Manage, grow, develop and lead the Traffic Team
- Responsible for the overall sales of the category including pipeline/deals management, margin expansion, leading the team in driving sales and regional/product expansion.
- Provide training and support to their sales teams and general BDMs on product knowledge and category insights.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities within the traffic category.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to increase market share and drive sales growth.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise pricing and product offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure a consistent supply of products.
- Analyse sales data and customer feedback to refine category strategies and maximise profitability.
- Proven experience in category management or related roles, preferably in the civil construction or related industries.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in Traffic Management/Category a preference
