Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will provide labouring duties including concrete finishing, steel fixing and form setting. You will also undertake traffic controller duties as required. This position is based in Miles. This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include: Concrete finishing, steel fixing and form setting Undertaking traffic controller duties as required Using your interpersonal skills to effectively communicate in a team environment Respectfully communicating with members of the public Completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames Being aware and adhering to safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised. This role is full time, working 38 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO. About yourself A person in this position will need to have knowledge and experience in various aspects of civil construction and maintenance works OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and its application.
