The City of West Torrens is recruiting for a motivated and experienced Civil Worker to undertake civil maintenance and construction duties for the Council's property, infrastructure and amenity assets. Permanent full time role (more than one available) Salary Level: CWT4, CWT5 or CWT6 depending on formal qualifications and / or experience Salary: $75,738 (CWT4), $78,448 (CWT5) or $81,518 (CWT6) per annum (FTE) plus superannuation and annual leave loading 9-day fortnight Study/professional development opportunities Based at: North Plympton About the role: You will; Undertake road maintenance and construction, including road reinstatement Undertake block paving and minor concrete works to footpaths, pram ramps kerbs and watertables Undertake other duties as required, such as assisting the civil structures team with storm water drainage and general labouring About you: You will; Be able to undertake manual work Possess good communication skills (both written and verbal) Be dependable and motivated to work as a team Have a high standard of Work, Health and Safety for you and your colleagues. Hold a minimum Class MR driver's licence Have the minimum essential qualifications and/or relevant experience as described within the position description: In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue) will be required as part of the recruitment process.
