About The Role
We are representing a leading company in the energy and construction sectors, seeking an experienced
Contract Administrator to join their team. The primary purpose of this role is to direct and control the contract administration function, ensuring contracts are executed within budget and comply with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer contracts including procurement, budgeting, progress claims, and dispute management.
- Control project costs through budgeting, forecasting, and subcontract claim review.
- Draw up and manage subcontract and supplier documentation for complex projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure technical requirements and changes are captured and communicated with clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, including regular meetings and updates on contract variations and progress.
- Manage procurement processes, ensuring subcontract awards and documentation meet company standards.
- Ensure all contract rights are protected and obligations met under the head contract.
- Provide regular financial reporting on project costs, budget progress, and risks.
Key Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Commercial Management, Law, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction or engineering industries.
- Minimum 2 years of site-based experience within Australia.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, administration, financial services, and commercial risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High-level computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to influence commercial outcomes and manage contractual obligations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including performance management.
- Experience in handling client relationships and managing subcontractor performance.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday with occasional after-hours or weekend work required.
