This hands-on role within our finance division is where you will feel a part of a team and enjoy a broad variety of tasks gaining an understanding of all aspects of the business.
What You Will Do In This Role
- Prepare appropriate and timely payments to creditors as and when they fall due according to approved budget and authorisation.
- Reconcile subcontractors and supplier invoices.
- Reconcile corporate credit cards.
- Job cost expenditure to projects.
- Accurate data entry of invoices into accounting software in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in preparing administration and financial reports.
- General administration support to the finance team as required.
About you:
- You are meticulous with your attention to detail, can accurately capture data, and have a logical and analytical approach to your daily tasks.
- You have sound knowledge of general accounting principles including accounts
- payable/receivable processes and procedures.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solution orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- A self-motivated and adaptable individual, who has proven time management skills, and can prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Friendly, approachable, and yet professional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with suppliers and subcontractors.
- The ability to work well within a team or unsupervised.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Accounting qualifications are desirable.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
