About The Role:
In this newly created role of Workshop Carpentry Supervisor, you will be responsible for the successful execution of timber ramp projects. We are looking for a strong leader who is trade qualified, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The role will be 50% Workshop managing a small team/50% Office based where basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. This hands-on role involves overseeing production schedules, liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the workshop team.
- Engage with clients, installers, and Occupational Therapists, managing any onsite issues.
- Ensure all carpentry tasks meet or exceed set quality benchmarks.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring deadlines and production goals are met.
- Schedule and coordinate all on-site timber ramp installation work.
- Maintain and update the timber scheduling spreadsheet/database.
- Organise and lead regular Toolbox meetings with the timber/ramp Installer team.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain equipment.
- Management of staff timesheets, TOIL and leave requests.
Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Trade qualified and experienced in either cabinetry, joinery, or carpentry.
- An approachable leader with strong communication skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience reading technical drawings.
- Demonstrated experience managing production schedules.
- A current driver’s license.
- Construction White Card.
- Have or willing to obtain a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, Aged Care Clearance and Working with Children Check.
