Job Description
We are searching for an adaptive and approachable
Contract Manager based in
Underdale SA. This is a highly visible role within a national road infrastructure construction division with multiple concurrent projects and opportunities of significant value. We are seeking a person who can deliver sound commercial and contractual outcomes as a trusted team member, willing to get involved in all aspects of the project delivery where there is opportunity for influencing long term growth and development.
About The Role
- Providing quality commercial and legal departures at tender to protect the company’s interests in accordance with company policies, procedures and business practices
- Working closely with the project delivery teams and SME’s in identifying commercial risk under scope and drafting suitable qualifications
- Closing commercial negotiations with Clients and governing the contract execution
- In conjunction with project delivery teams, reviewing Subcontractor quotes, providing gap analysis and subsequent preparation of Subcontracts using a suite of standard documents and aligning head contract conditions
- Providing guidance and practical support in submission of payment claims, variations, EOT’s, contract correspondence and administration
- Assisting in dispute matters working with Commercial Director and Legal advisors
What You’ll Bring
- Formal qualifications in Contract / Construction Management are desirable or 5- 10 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Administrator
- Experience in an operational environment where you can bring real, tangible advice and learnings to the project delivery teams and apply your knowledge to practical solutions
- Previous exposure to legal interpretation and application of construction contracts
- Demonstrated experience in autonomous management of contract lifecycle
- Highly developed comprehension and literacy skills
