The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

About The Role
We are looking for an Underground Geological Technician on a full time basis with this position supporting the Production Geology function within the Resources Development and Long Term Planning Department and reporting to the Superintendent of Mine Geology.
This position is being offered on 7 days on 7 days off, 12 hour day rotating day and night shift roster.
Core Responsibilities
- Collection of face samples, truck dump samples and sludge hole samples,
- Undertake production sampling as directed by Mine Geologists,
- Ensure necessary sampling of surface stockpiles,
- Assist the Mine Geologist in the daily coordination of drilling programs,
- Vehicle delivery of samples,
- Digitising and data entry,
- Maintain a high standard of geological documentation, ensuring timely and complete levels of documentation for all sampling data,
- Aid in the recording of production data as required,
- Ensure Job Specific Safety Skills and Responsibilities are met,
- Ensure data entry is accurate and up to date,
About You
To be successful in this role you will have Year 10 secondary education or above and whilst not essential previous experience working in an underground mine and using Microsoft Access and Excel programs is desirable.
You will need to have a c class licence and be comfortable and able to work underground, both un-supervised and as part of a team whilst demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills enabling you to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
