Our client, a leading global manufacturer of industrial and automotive lubricants have an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your OHS career as a proactive OHS Coordinator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee OHS compliance, policies, and safety management systems.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and implement control measures.
- Develop and manage return-to-work programs for injured or ill employees.
- Lead incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and preventive actions.
- Deliver health and safety training, workshops, and ongoing safety education.
- Organise and document safety committee meetings, following up on action items.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or equivalent.
- Experience in OHS in manufacturing environment
- Understanding of OHS legislation, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes preferred
- Highly organised
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of staff, from shop-floor employees to senior management.
- Attention to detail in documenting safety incidents, actions, and rehabilitation plans.
