Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical coordination and delivery of key aspects of the project. You'll manage site logistics, liaise with subcontractors, ensure compliance with project specifications, and support the Project Manager in delivering on time and budget.
Key responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee the construction delivery of several packages, taking charge of the progress from start to finish. Other responsibilities include:
- Manage subcontractors and service suppliers, ensuring that they are all operating efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain construction programmes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of the project.
- Implement the procurement strategy to ensure that all materials are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and of the highest quality.
- Practice value engineering to continuously identify and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality.
- Ensure that delivery exceeds project parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and HSE at all times.
About you
You are a Project Engineer with at least 5 years of industry experience as well as well-rounded experience in similar roles on large building projects. You will also have:
- Related tertiary education - Preferably have come through the Cadet route with a similar Tier 1 or 2 organisation
- Experience in a similar role on large building construction projects
- Experience in data centre, or education projects would be advantageous
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills that will enable you to interact with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as other stakeholders
- Must be willing to commit to a long-term career, be predominately based on site, and work in the Greater Sydney area
