Job Description
Leading provider of bespoke commercial joinery solutions, specializing in high-quality craftsmanship for offices, retail spaces, hotels, and more. The team is committed to excellence in design, fabrication, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day running of the factory, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a team of joiners, apprentices, and general labourers.
- Production Scheduling: Collaborate with the Design & Project teams and Directors to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, coordinating with other departments as necessary.
- Quality Control: Ensure all joinery work meets company standards and specifications before dispatch.
- Health & Safety: Promote and enforce health and safety standards in the workplace, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of machinery and tools, arranging for repairs when necessary.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain materials and stock levels, placing orders when required.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot any issues that arise in production and work to resolve them swiftly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Foreman or supervisory role within the commercial joinery or shopfitting industry.
- Strong understanding of joinery processes, materials, and modern production techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and ensure specifications are met.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations in a workshop environment.
- Experience with CNC machinery.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
