About the Company
A leader within the utilities infrastructure space, this company works on a range of large-scale projects with a variety of clients, from government organisations, to tier 1 contractors. This company has a healthy pipeline of work which is continuing to grow, and as such they are looking to hire a HSEQ Manager, to ensure continuity across the projects and company.
About the role
This role will involve developing and implementing Health and Safety policies, by building strong relationships and trust throughout the site teams, as well as working closely with management to drive change and improvements. The company has a good health and safety culture, and this is something they are keen to continue and improve.
Duties
- Developing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
- Visiting site and engaging with site teams, leading by example to create a positive safety culture with strong relationships
- Creating tangible action plans to ensure clear steps to reach company goals, upskilling employees for successful implementation, constantly seeking areas for improvement
- Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar role ideally within civil engineering, infrastructure, or related industries
- Experience implementing health and safety policies, in line with relevant legislative requirements
- CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent
- Experience in gap analysis, and ability to provide practical and tangible solutions where required
- Experience establishing and maintain good working relationship at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
