AIE is a dynamic, family/employee-owned engineering consultancy with a passion for delivering real-world solutions. We're seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer with remediation design experience and project management skills to join our team and contribute to a critical remediation project.
About the Role:
As a Senior Civil Engineer on the Berth C&D Remediation Project, you'll play a pivotal role in the assessment of structural defects on steel wharves used for iron ore loading at BHP's Finucane Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all engineering aspects of the project, including remediation design, ensuring safe and efficient construction, commissioning, and operation.
- Manage project engineering deliverables, such as technical documentation, QMPs, ITPs, WMSs, and MDRs.
- Collaborate with technical teams and external contractors to ensure project success.
- Drive value optimisation through ESO and VE activities.
- Contribute to project risk reviews and capture lessons learned.
- Support operational readiness and participate in leadership activities.
Role Details:
- Duration: 12+ months, nominal start Nov-24 or ASAP
- Location: Port Hedland, Western Australia (site-based roster TBC)
- Reporting: Report to the site Lead Delivery on a day-to-day basis
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8 years' experience in structural remediation projects, preferably in marine environments
- Experience in remediation design and project management
- Chartered status (CP Eng) with IEAust preferred
- Experience in site-based project delivery
- Strong teamwork, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Uncompromising safety mindset and standards
